Exploring the San Blas neighborhood
To begin to build a set of observations about the place in which we will be designing
MATERIALS
School environment, next to the Simancas Metro exit, between Castillo de Uclés street and Paraíso Park.
Activity: My Favorite/ Least Favorite Place
Task: In small groups, walk around the immediate school environment (Metro, Castillo de Uclés, access to Paraíso Park).
Each group must identify and photograph:
○ A strength (a place that works well, is pleasant, or safe).
○ A weakness (a problematic, neglected, unsafe, or non-functional place).
Fill the Template attached on this post and use the map to locate your sites.

- For each group, on your maps, put a number showing where both sites are (least and most favorite sites).
- Split the table in half: one part for your favorite spot, and the other for your least favorite.

Plenary Session: Share observations and begin to sketch the initial problems and opportunities.
How to Document the Project?
● We will create a Digital Project Journal (Drive folder or Padlet) where you will document each phase.
● Tools: Photographs, short videos (interviews, progress logs), sketches (digitized or photographed), maps, and written notes.
