Purpose: In this assignment, students will research different types of ecosystems by going through the slide deck above. For each of the destinations, there are suggested links to resources and videos. Take some time to review this material collectively as a class. As you go through, make sure to take notes. 

Instructions: Create an Ecosystem Diagram

Take a look at slides 12-13 and discuss how the two examples help tell the story of each ecosystem. 

• How does the location of the images help tell a story? 
• How do the colors communicate different things?
• What are things that need to be labeled?
• What purpose do the arrows serve in a diagram?
• What is a key and when are they necessary? 

When you are ready, choose one of the ecosystems you've researched. Then, sketch out your best diagram that helps communicate the story and cycle of your ecosystem.
