-It's very expansive it costs 105 billion dollars to buy and 101.10 dollars to ride

-requires a huge amount of infrastructure and it must be maintained to precise standards

-the braking distance and stopping time is to high for an emergency situation. the stoping time is 1minute 40 seconds, and the braking distance is 6000 meters when going at 200km/h or more
